AppleInsider.com is reporting that the next update of the MacMini’s are going to be sporting fancy new HDMI ports along side the existing display port. What could this mean for emerging entertainment services for the Mac on your TV? Does this mean Apple is planning on scrapping the Apple TV in favor of the more powerful and expandable Mac Mini? Only time will tell.
I know this makes me wonder what kind of a business model they are planning. Hopefully these HDMI ports result in a Front Row update and better home multimedia integration with the home entertainment system.
