Widget Review: Just Added Dashboard Widgets
This will be a quick review. I don’t know about you, but I still use Widgets from time to time. Granted, they do seem to be the red headed step child of OS X, Widgets still have have some functionality. Today we’re going to take a look at the Widget called; “Just Added Dashboard Widgets”. This Widgets purpose is quite simple, it fetches the most recently listed Widgets from the Apple Downloads website. That’s pretty much it. The Widget does this function well.
Pulling up the dashboard is much quicker than opening a browser and navigating to the website. So, if you would like to see what’s new in “Widgetland” without opening a browser, check this widget out.

I give the Widget a 4.5 out of 5 rating.
I do wish the main interface was a different color than blue. That can easily be changed if you know your way around photoshop.

**Super Bonus Picture!**
I modified the images to suit my taste.

With a quick import into Preview, Photoshop, Gimp, or your favorite graphic editing utility, you can make the interface less blue-ness. Right click the Widget, click “Show Package Contents”, go to Resources >> Images>> Then edit the images. Reload the Widget and the changes should show up. Having troubles seeing the changes? You might need to restart the Dock. Open Terminal ( Applications>>Utilities>>Terminal) or search “Terminal” in Spotlight. Type, Killall Dock into the Terminal and that will restart the Dock for you. Try to load the widget once more. Changes should now have taken effect.
