First iPad Car Integration By California Company “SoundMan”

The California based company; SoundMan Car Audio, have been hard at work integrating the recently released iPad into a 2006 Toyota Tacoma dash panel. They have fabricated a slide in solution for the iPad and have customized the audio system to get audio from the iPad and iPhone. Very interesting stuff. I was wondering how long it would take before someone put an iPad into a car.  This should be extremely interesting once the 3G iPad comes out later on this month.

GPS navigation, compass, always on internet connection, should integrate well with this system.  Check out the build videos below to get an idea of the craftsmanship that has gone into this build.  I wouldn’t mind having an iPad in the car.
