Mountain Lion: Make Sure You’re Supported

Since the release of Mountain Lion is looming on the horizon for tomorrow afternoon, those of you with older Macs might want to make sure your system is supported before you click that buy button in the Mac App Store.

Here’s a list of the currently supported Apple hardware.

iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
Xserve (Early 2009)
MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)

With that in mind. Don’t forget to backup your data, either with Time Machine or with a utility such as Carbon Copy Cloner (ccc). As I said before, we’ll be sure to have the announcement when Mountain Lion hits the Mac App Store tomorrow afternoon.

Are you excited? We are!  Sound off in the comments or forum and let us know what your favorite features of Mountain Lion are!
