Apple Quietly Adds Hulu Plus Channel To Apple TV

Hulu Plus released for Apple TV

We have some sad news folks. Apparently Apple violated thousands of Apple TVs (aTV) around the US this morning. They silently snuck huluplus onto the cute little black box while it was sleeping.  Oh the humanity!  Actually, this is a pretty kick ass addition. Apple didn’t give any notion that this new channel was coming, so it is definitely a pleasant surprise and it’s one channel that was long over due.

Hulu is giving everyone a 1-week free trial for the service. Granted it’s not a very long trial, it will at least give folks a chance to check out some of the features of huluplus.  This still beats having to pay a $60 subscription fee to use the app like Xbox 360 owners have to.  You can sign up with your existing iTunes account if you use the aTV to sign up for the trial.

If you would like to get a 1-month free trial for huluplus, check out this link.  The 1 month trial still works as of today (july-31-2012), there’s no word on how long it will last though, so you better act fast.
