Apple Announces 13” Retina MacBook Pro

Phil Schiller just announced the 13” Retina MacBook Pro at the special media event in San Jose. This puppy is slim, sleek, and sexy as ever. It’s pretty identical to the 15” MacBook Pro but in a 13” form factor.

Here are the details

13” Retina display that comes in at a whopping 2560 X 1600 resolution which consists of about 4,096,000 pixels in total, that’s 229 pixels per-inch.

Two thunderbolt ports, two usb 3.0 ports, HDMI, audio out, SDXC, dual microphones.

The base model 13” Retina MacBook Pro will start at 2.5GHz with a dual core i5 chip and with 8gb of RAM and 128GB SSD storage.  Price starts at $1699, ships today.  Customers can configure the base model with a dual-core i7 chip that clocks in at  2.9GHz for $200 extra.  The storage capacity option goes all the way up to 768GB SSD.

There’s also a 256gb model that stars at $1,999. It’s configurable just like the base model.
