Apple News & Rumors / Software Update: iWork Updated To 9.2
« Last post by TMU-Kelly on July 25, 2012, 11:28:31 PM »
Earlier today I reported that Apple updated the iWork Suite for iOS, shortly thereafter they updated iWork for the Mac as well.  Here's a complete summary of the updates for iWork on Mountain Lion.

Keynote 5.2, Pages 4.2, and Numbers 2.2 are updated to take advantage of the following features available on OS X Mountain Lion:
Quote
iCloud: Store documents in iCloud, and keep them automatically up-to-date across your Mac, iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, and the web. Changes made to a document on one device, automatically appear on all your other devices. This requires iWork for iOS 1.6.1 or later to be installed on your iOS device.

Dictation: Speak words, numbers, or sentences, and watch them appear in your presentation, document, or spreadsheet.

The iWork apps are also enhanced to take advantage of the Retina display on new Mac hardware, so presentations, documents, and spreadsheets appear sharper and more vibrant.
As usual, this update is recommended for everyone that are using iWork 09.

« Last post by TMU-Kelly on July 25, 2012, 11:23:22 PM »

In lieu of Mountain Lion being released today, Apple also pushed an update for the iOS version of its iWork suite. Keynote, Numbers, and Pages all received the same iCloud update.

The changes simply improve the performance of iCloud in iWork and make it compatible with the changes in Mountain Lion. You will need the latest version of iWork on your Mac in order to take advantage of the iCloud integration and document sharing.

Apple News & Rumors / Mountain Lion is Here!
« Last post by TMU-Kelly on July 25, 2012, 11:21:43 PM »

That's right folks, it's 9am here in the Midwest and Mountain Lion is already available. You can't beat that! As I noted before, it's only $20 to upgrade to Mountain Lion.  Just keep in mind that you will need a certain system to run it. If you're looking for the compatible machines list, check this post.

The total download is 4.5 GB in size, so it might take a while on slower connections. You will definitely want to be plugged in if you're running on a MacBook of some kind.

You can download Mountain Lion from the Mac App Store here.

We'll have more coverage once our download and installation finishes.

I am thoroughly impressed you got it for 350, that's awesome! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it! I think it's safe to say we all love them, despite the frustrations that come with them sometimes.

Thanks. What's with the name? Haha. If I remember from what ghost / Kelly told me, you are Tom from the site, right?

I'm going to be totally honest with you and tell you it's the name that Brian Fantana gave to his right testicle in the movie Anchorman. Have a pleasant day.

And yes, my name is Tom! If you have any questions about the site, fire me a PM or send me an IM -- doublethink542 on AIM. :)

Audio and Music / Re: What albums are you looking forward to?
« Last post by TMU-Kelly on July 04, 2012, 11:31:28 PM »
I am currently looking forward to the new GWAR album, they are in the studio recording right now.  Not quite sure when it will be out or what the title of the album will be. It's going to be the first album without Cory Smoot (flattus maximus) he passed away in November of 2011.

Some other albums that I have been looking for have come out already.

Municipal Waste
: The Fatal Feast
Kreator:Phantom Antichrist
Red Hot Chili Peppers: I'm with you
The Smashing Pumpkins: Oceania
Tenacious D: The Rise of the Phoenix

Man there's so much stuff, I could go on forever.
